Both the standard and flare-tip replacement cannulas for the EDS and late-model (ip) systems are available in assorted lengths to suit your application. The EDS cannula and tubing have been specially designed and tested to provide the user with the correct flow with the kink-resistant tubing. Do not use standard medical cannulas as you may not receive adequate oxygen flow or oxygen-conserving optimization.
The flare-tip cannula is generally recommended for a person who has larger nostril openings.
Generally speaking, with small- or normal-size nostrils the standard cannula is recommended, while with larger nostrils or if having trouble triggering, the flare-tip cannula is recommended, allowing for the proper fit of the cannula.
