EDS-305X Semi-Built-In System
(FAA-NORSEE Approved)
The MHO2 EDS-305X series is a semi-built-in supplemental oxygen system suite that is FAA-NORSEE (Non-required Safety Enhancing Equipment) approved and eligible for installation under the policy statement PS-AIR-21.8-1602, pursuant to Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) 21.8(d), on aircraft certified under 14 CFR Part 23.
Compatible Cylinders
The portable DOT/TC-rated cylinder, with manually actuated CGA540 valve installed, is sold separately.
IMPORTANT: Only MHO2-approved cylinders and valves may be used with this system suite. If a system is
purchased with the intent of using one’s own cylinder, ensure that it is an approved model with an approved
CGA540 valve.
Consult the Cylinder Duration Chart to compare each cylinder’s expected oxygen duration times.

Installation and Limitations
Installation of the system is approved for supplemental use only, up to 12,500 feet, and is not intended as a replacement for an existing, approved, or required system. It is intended as a minor alteration, provided that the requirements of 14 CFR Part 1.1 and 14 CFR Part 43 Appendix A are met and the installation does not detrimentally obstruct the pilot’s view of required instrumentation equipment.
It is vital for installers of the EDS-305X system to understand that the FAA has not evaluated installation of the NORSEE equipment; NORSEE is strictly a production approval, thereby the equipment becomes eligible for installation on the aircraft. Installation must be accomplished either as a minor alteration or major alteration substantiated by FAA-approved data such as field approval, follow on STC or other form of FAA-approved installation data. If there is any doubt on the category of install (major or minor), contact your local FAA FSDO. It should also be noted that NORSEE production approval does not grant Installation Approval, Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) or Technical Standard Order Authorization (TSOA).
